Carrier Corporation – Worldwide Projects
As a global company, Carrier Corporation has worked all over the world to keep your favorite landmarks heated and cooled.
The Sistine Chapel – Vatican City, Italy
“Our aim now is not restoration, but conservation. This is why we have chosen Carrier, because a masterpiece like the Sistine Chapel needs a comparable masterpiece of technology,” said Antonio Paolucci, director of the Vatican Museums.
Carrier Corporation accounts for the heating and cooling of a large portion of landmark buildings that define the city’s iconic skyline – such as Shanghai City Hall, the Shanghai International Financial Center, the Shanghai Futures Exchange Zhangjiang Data Center and Shanghai South Railway Station, to name a few.
Despite obstacles, Carrier delivered a solution for the first President’s residence. The system employed air handlers located in underground vaults, a Carrier® air-cooled reciprocating chiller located about 200 yards away, hidden by trees, and sophisticated ductwork that winds through the historic home’s closets, rafters and fireplaces to be out of sight.
